wmaSnip is an editor for Windows Media Audio files. The editing is non-destructive, in that the audio content is not affected, but it allows you to annotate the file with markers defining sub-sections of audio content, known in wmaSnip as segments. Segment definitions can be used as cue-points, allowing easy access to and playback of defined sections of audio. The audio content of segments can be saved in various formats.

wmaSnip requires Windows Media Player version 9 or later to be installed on the user’s computer.

Corrected failure to open output file ("may already be in use") when
recording DRM-protected segment data.

Known issues:
-------------
When recording a DRM-protected segment, the recording sometimes terminates
before all the data is processed. This appears to be a timing issue, and
seems to happen more often if the source data is held on an external USB
drive. Repeating the procedure is often successful. This issue will be
addressed in a subsequent release.
